Hyundai Kona is one of the latest offering from the brand, known for innovation and performance. It offers high quality and excellent cars to its consumers demanding for top performing automobiles. This brand is offering an improvement when it comes to a subcompact crossover.  Today, let us check out the Hyundai Kona review below.

2018 Hyundai Kona Review

Style 9/10

When it comes to style, nothing can be told to the Hyundai Kona, a stylish CUV. This car is in the center when it comes to style, but then it can still capture attention of many.  The design isn’t perfect, although cheap plastic is in its body cladding in the corners.

Regarding colors, the Hyundai Kona offers Blue Lagoon, the Tangerine Comet and Blue Lagoon, plus optional cool contrast roof, which can last long and capture the attention of shoppers. It also manages standing out and offering personality.

Interior 9/10

The Hyundai Kona does not only have a great style but also a nice interior.  For the interior, you can match the matte-finish acid yellow or lime green trim with a contrast stitching – but it can be optional. However, it might be needed if you want to improve the cabin’s look and make it look a little bit of fun. The problem might be a clash of colors.

You can get the trim option, but it is only available in acid yellow.  For some users, they might want to make use of matching exterior paint shades.  But then, the Kona might be one of those that have the best interior when compared to other cars in the same category.

Technology and build 8/10

When it comes to build, the Kona is well constructed, and it does not feel cheap; in fact, it is functional and well laid out. It also has a good and modern infotainment system, which is responsive, user-friendly, quick and easy to use. In addition, there are physical buttons, which can flank the touchscreen, which can make it easier to use.  All the things are labeled well, and they are intuitive. You will not find any mystery buttons.

On the other hand, what makes this not very impressive are the two cigarette lighter adapters and USB port. The lighter adapters are of no use anymore.  Then, only one USB port is not enough for today’s modern user. Hyundai should have removed of the lighter adapters, and then add two USB ports instead of the lighter adapters. The USB ports might have been useful for fast charging and another for the Android Auto or Apple Car Play.

There are also upper trims, which contain the wireless charging pad, which improve things a bit. You will also find a useful tray in the middle console, which is ideal to store your wallet or phone.

In addition, there are good rear seats, which are pretty useful, although might not suit tall front passengers.  The rear seat passengers will get no USBs, but they won’t be tortured at the back.

Final Thoughts

The Hyundai Kona latest addition is an impressive new car for those looking for style, functionality and features. You might want to consider this one if you want a new car from a reputable brand. Check it out today!
